Students in Bengaluru who are going to appear for the national level undergraduate medical entrance test NEET (UG) are anxious due to a recent development.

Ahead of the Karnataka legislative assembly elections, major political parties have been organising roadshows with their star campaigners in a bid to exhibit their "strength" in the state's capital.

Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi was supposed to participate in a day-long campaign on Saturday, May 6. The mega roadshow has now been rescheduled for two days, i.e Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday, PM Modi will begin the roadshow at 10:00 AM from RBI Layout in JP Nagar 7th phase and move towards Jayanagar. The route for the roadshow includes Basavangudi, Chamarajpet, Magadi Road, Vijaynagar, Rajajinagar and Malleshwaram. The roadshow is supposed to end at Sankey tank.

This has given rise to worry among the NEET aspirants of the city as they are supposed to reach their examination centres located in different parts of the city. The exam commences at 2:00 PM and students will not be allowed into the centres after 1:30 PM, according to the National Testing Agency (NTA)

Meanwhile, Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi is also set to go on a roadshow campaign in the city on Sunday. NEET aspirants and anxious parents took to Twitter and requested that the roadshows be put off. They tagged the Twitter handles of BJP Karnataka, Bengaluru Traffic Police and also the NTA to their tweets.
