Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class 10 examination commenced today with the First Language paper.
The SSLC-1 Examination is being conducted between March 25 and April 6, 2024, and will be the first of the three rounds of exams of which the students are allowed to choose their best performance as their SSLC score.
The first day saw an attendance of 98.41% with 8,32,343 students appearing for the exam at 2,750 centres across the state.
Case of mass-copying suspected:
A case of malpractice at an examination centre in Hunsagi of Yadgir District has come to light after the CEO of Zilla Panchayat, Yadgir inspected the centre’s webcasting footage.The invigilator in room 11 of the centre was found to have ignored the malpractice despite noticing the act. The Karnataka Secondary Education and Assessment Board has placed the invigilator (an assistant teacher at Surapur Taluk) under suspension and has ordered a departmental inquiry.
